Current research and development at The Whiteley Clinic

We are a private clinic as when Mark Whiteley worked in the NHS, very little funding was available for Varicose Veins and so he was unable to treat his patents to the level that he (and they) wished.

Therefore he set up The Whiteley Clinic as a pioneering vein clinic to push forwards with his program of improving treatments for varicose veins including:

● Stopping stripping - which leaves large scars and causes veins to grow back in many people

● Moving from general anaesthetic to walk-in, walk-out local anaesthetic

● Moving form expensive private hospitals to less expensive specialist clinics

● Getting people back to normal life quicker - stopping the old 2-3 weeks off sick after vein surgery

● Reducing the rates of recurrent varicose veins - by making sure that the whole problem is fixed, and the right treatment is used for the right vein
